According to the "Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Smart Manufacturing 2022-2027 Plan (Outline)" and the instructions from the Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Logistics Department on accelerating the non line of sight joint control project of steel grabbing machines and AGV transfer vehicles, Zhanjiang Iron and Steel will start implementing the joint control operation project of steel grabbing machines and automatic driving transfer vehicles in the scrap steel recycling area from 2022. This project is an important part of Zhanjiang Iron and Steel's promotion of intelligent manufacturing strategy, in line with the national intelligent manufacturing strategy positioning, and of great significance for technological development and application, as well as enterprise transformation and upgrading.

This project utilizes advanced technologies such as autonomous driving, cloud scheduling, vehicle road collaboration, and 5G communication, combined with the specific situation of the Zhanjiang scrap steel yard, to achieve full process, all-weather intelligent collaboration between fully automated unmanned driving of transfer vehicles and remote control of steel grabbing machines. It has created a smart, efficient, green, and safe scrap steel yard system for Zhanjiang Iron and Steel, which is at the forefront of the world in the entire metallurgical industry.
